Left waiting for over 20 minutes, nobody came out to assist while I waited in line. Employees at the counter did not even acknowledge me, nor cared to get someone to assist. Spent time yapping about nothing with other customers.
Ken on the other hand is a great employee; he understands customer service. Only person to acknowledge me, and ask if I needed anything. Seems like the rest of the crew at the firearms section could learn a thing or two from him. He’s the only reason I gave 3 stars.

Ken still killing it at the firearms section (high speed, and professional).

I stopped in this location on the 26th. It's a very dark location compared to other locations I have been. Walked in to purchase 2 new rods and reels and various tackle. Waited at the reel counter 10 minutes, no help so I gave up walked my tackle to the register waited 10 minutes no help, so I returned my tackle to the shelves and walked out . I think it's amazing how a retail store can stay in business with no customer service unless you are there to buy a gun.

Christan is very efficient. He helped me out today we talked about our kids and he helped me get the 45 caliber ammo i needed. Got my self the best service anyone can offer ! I will continue to bring my bussines here.

My encounter with Turner’s Outdoorman (Santa Maria) is the worst experience I have ever had with a retail establishment, from start to incredible and unbelievable finish.

It started with a serious of amazing delays, complete lack of communications to me, and a serious of internal mistakes which delayed my delivery by several weeks. At the point of sale I was told the rifle was in their warehouse and arrive within 7-10 days. After 2 weeks I followed up and was told the rifle was still at their warehouse, but they would take steps to have it delivered, and it should take another 5-7 days. After another week passed, I followed up again and was told the rifle had shipped to another store several hours away! I was told it would be re-routed to their store and should take another 5 days to arrive. A week later I called again and was told it had not arrived, but I would be called as soon as it arrived. My last call was a week later, at which time I was told it had arrived the day before (note, I was NOT called to be advised it had arrived).

But here’s the more incredible occurrence that had me shaking my head in disbelief for hours (and still does when I think back on the encounter). I told the salesman that I had no knowledge of this rifle and needed help selecting the appropriate ammunition. He directed me to a box of ammo that he said would work fine with the new semi-automatic rifle. I went home, attempted to load the cartridge, and realized the ammo would not fit into the cartridge of the rifle. I returned to the store later the same day, spoke to the same salesperson, and he said he was not aware that the ammo he sold me would not fit into the cartridge. I told him I’d return the unused box he sold me and exchange it for the correct ammo. After telling me it is a law that they cannot accept ammo back, I told him no problem, just provide me the correct ammo so I can use the rifle I just bought from them. He said they were out of the correct ammo! So I asked to have a credit issued to the same card used to purchase it, and he said they could not (meaning WOULD NOT) do that ! So, bottom line, I did not pick the ammo…I relied on him to provide me the correct ammo for the rifle I had just purchased at the same time as the ammo. He made a mistake, but would do nothing to provide me the correct ammo or credit me for his error. I left the store, paying for something that could not be used in the cartridge of the rifle they sold me, and still not having ammo that would work !

Worst customer support I’ve ever experienced. And, BTW, it seems there is no law again accepting ammo back, but just store policy. After all I had been through, I am amazed they stonewalled me on the return or replacement.

Well I'm a Santa Marian original, I think with Turner's customer service can be a little busy and little excited on the gun isle but my experience their for my first time was great when it comes to fishing they have all sorts of reels and rods with low to high prices I'm happy with them and would go back to buy more thing's and if they are busy I will speak up and ask for help straight out and we see from their but those guys are cool ? from my experiences. Thank you guy's.

I have been here 3 times to do a private party transfer. Every time it’s the same thing no one knows how. The most of there employees nice but are very slow and not helpful as they know almost nothing about guns.

Overall, great store. Professional staff, and always good customer service..

My only complaint, they do not always start the background checks on your firearms on the day of your purchase. I found out the hard way, by trying to purchase an additional firearm 31 days later. I figured with the extra day, I would be safe. But they did not even start my background check until The late afternoon of the following day. This resulted in being red flagged by the DOJ. Leaving myself within hours of not hitting the full 30 days.
